hackher_ is the most important Italian event dedicated to gender equality and continues its commitment in 10 Italian cities and 10 European cities, thanks to the Patronage of the European Parliament and the support of major brands.
hackher_ aims to bridge the significant gender gap in the high-tech sector with a dual-purpose project. On one hand, it seeks to bring as many girls (more than 100 in each city) closer to the IT world through a technological project that has them engaging in a fascinating challenge; on the other hand, it provides a space for discussions on gender equality issues in a panel composed of role models in leadership positions in the entrepreneurial world, institutional and corporate representatives.
hackher_ pursues ideals of inclusion by combating all forms of gender discrimination and targets anyone who believes it is important to leave future generations a society founded on gender equality. The girls involved have the unique opportunity to experience firsthand the birth and development of a technological project, overturning the false notion that STEM subjects are solely the domain of males, so that the choice of university paths becomes a result of genuine personal inclination capable of breaking the glass ceiling and gender stereotypes.
