Ornella Laneri
President of Fondazione OELLE Mediterraneo Antico ETS, Vice President of Aidda
Born in 1963, she studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano, where she met and interacted with some of the greatest artists and critics of contemporary art.
Nel 1985 rientra in Sicilia e inizia la sua esperienza nell’azienda di famiglia.
She learned the fundamentals of tourism and cultural marketing by collaborating with international companies, which provided her with a solid foundation that she has applied in managing the Four Points by Sheraton Catania, which she owns.
A passionate patron, she deeply loves her homeland.
In 2017, she funded the first Synergistic Urban Garden within a large hotel context, receiving the Smau Award for Digital Innovation in the commerce and tourism sector.

In the same year—under new governance—she made her mark on the Fondazione OELLE Mediterraneo Antico, where she serves as president. The Foundation aims to enhance the historical, artistic, archaeological, and cultural heritage of the Mediterranean.
La Fondazione annovera una ricca collezione di opere d’arte contemporanea, in parte in mostra alla Fon Art Gallery, area espositiva volutamente realizzata sui 4 piani Four Points by Sheraton Catania.
Since 2013, she has been a member of the Board of Directors at the Sicilian Venture Philanthropy Foundation (with the aim of enhancing and growing local startups).
Dal 2016 è ambasciatrice per il turismo di affari per il Principato di Monaco.
Since 2021, she has been a board member at Banca d’Italia Catania.
Since 2022, she has been the Vice President of Aidda (Associazione Imprenditrici Donne Dirigenti d’Azienda) with a mandate for tourism.
Since 2023, she has been a national board member of Federturismo, Confindustria.
